Over many years, aurora shows on about 50% of clear, dark nights at this camera's magnetic latitude (65°). That is a long-term average, not a forecast: tonight's chance is next to the camera.

Finland's biggest ski resort, a comfortable base with restaurants, activities and a nearby airport at Kittilä. Better aurora odds than Rovaniemi, but you need to get away from the slope lights.
