AuroraMAX is an open-licence still camera with a new image every minute in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada, run by Canadian Space Agency, University of Calgary, Astronomy North. It is an all-sky camera: a fisheye lens looks straight up, so the whole sky is in the frame and the horizon runs round the edge.
Over many years, aurora shows on about 75% of clear, dark nights at this camera's magnetic latitude (68°). That is a long-term average, not a forecast: tonight's chance is next to the camera.
